Making Magic with Light

The Culture Trip recently interviewed me, and this month they published an article titled “Making Magic with Light” about my portraits and the process behind them.  Thank you, Culture Trip!

Playing with light is a passion for me. These days, I am thinking a lot about different ways to balance the ephemeral beauty of ambient light with strobe and flash. We had 3 minutes to get this shot. A few rain clouds broke open, but then the sky closed into its gray self again. It’s a double portrait – Kenneth and the patch of light on the wall.
